About a year ago, I wrote the blog post celebrating 300 followers. In it, I expressed uncertainty about the state of the future, and said I felt good about that uncertainty.
Now, here we are. A year's passed. The world didn't end. I've started university.
And, oh yeah. I fell in love.
IN WHICH I KEEP MY WORD
I promised once I found a public computer, things would happen. Well, here we go! I still don't have a new laptop yet, but this'll do. I finished a short story I intend to upload tomorrow for Halloween. I want to thank all my readers who stood by me and encouraged me during this rough time. How I managed to gain 25 followers during my hiatus baffles me, but I guess it means I did something right.
Three hundred. Spartans.
As good a time as any to wax poetic about the future.
More below the awesome song.
WHERE DID ALL OF THESE PEOPLE COME FROM?
In all seriousness, though, you guys are awesome. I won't say that you're the reason I keep going, because I can barely even remember all of your names and I've had conversations with about half of you, but you sure are people that care about my words.
It is. It really, really is.
I mean, you don't really think about it, do you? We spend so long clicking in and out of stuff where we can see that people have thousands, millions of followers and subscribers, and suddenly a million becomes the new benchmark of excellence. Some channels, you won't even look at them if they've got under a thousand subscribers. Because it all just becomes a number.
